3 day historical hike

The first 1/2 day will offer sightseeing in Nuuk, the capital of
Greenland and shopping for souvenirs in the local arts and
crafts shops.
Late evening guests will be transferred by boats to the
marvelous fiord "Ameralik" from where the hike will start.
Ameralik is where "Fridtjof Nansen", the first person to
cross the Greenlandic Ice Cap, made camp before he
sailed back out from his long journey.
From the very start you will get the grandness of the
Greenlandic nature.
The hike will go past rivers where we will fish for char and
of cause past the Old Norse ruins.
The rivers and creeks has fresh and drinkable water and
the
scenery on the entire trip is nothing but spectacular.
The hike will end up at the very beautiful Ice Fiord, next to
Kapisillit (1 of the 2 settlements in Nuuk area).
There will be 2 days in Nuuk after the hike with the
possibility of other tours in Nuuk area.

Practical information:

There are no paths or trails on this hike and it is very
important that guests are fit and used to or ready for a walk
in very rugged and rough terrain.
It is highly recommended to have a good pair of worn in
hiking boots.
Approx. 3-5 hours walking per day for three and a half days.
